THE PLANNING BOARD MEETING FOR
DECEMBER HAS BEEN CANCELED.

CUMBERLAND/NO. YARMOUTH BOY
SCOUT TROOP 58
Cumberland- North
Yarmouth Boy Scout Troop 58 will be dedicating a plaque recognizing
the troops' Eagle Scouts. There have been 113 in the troop since it
was founded 76 years ago. All Troop 58 Eagles and former scoutmasters
are invited to attend the dedication on Monday, December 19th, at
7:30pm, at Wescustogo Hall in North
Yarmouth. Refreshments will be served.
The ceremony will be at
the end of the troop's regular Monday meeting, which will be a
cooking competition. Any Eagles or former scoutmasters who would like
honorary judges are welcome!

8th ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE
NOVEMBER 19-DECEMBER 23RD SPONSORED BY THE CUMEBRLAND

Notice from Public Works
The Brush Dump is now
closed for the 2011 season. The Brush Dump will reopen the first
weekend of April 2012.
Yearly passes for 2012
will be available for sale at the Town Offices after the first of the
year.

accepting registrations for all Winter Programs

for several spring and summer programs for youth & adults alike.

BANQUET ROOM AT VAL HALLA
The Maine State Golf
Association is very pleased to announce that while we continue our
fundraising efforts for building renovation, the Banquet Room at Val Halla will remain available for rental for 2012!
Renovations will not begin until the funds are fully raised for
the project. For more information on Val Halla's
Banquet Facilities, now operated by the MSGA, please email nancy@mesga.org or call 829-3549.

SMCC CLASSES AT GREELY HIGH SCHOOL
Take your college classes
in the afternoons or evenings at Greely High School! Earn credits
toward an SMCC degree and/ or transfer credits to another college
while earning a credit toward your high school transcript. High
school students need to contact GHS guidance department for more
information. For adults to take an SMCC class at the Greely
High School satellite site, you must register through Southern Maine
Community College at 741-5800. The following classes are scheduled at
GHS, depending on enrollment:

DOG LICENSES AVAILABLE FOR 2012
Beginning October 17, 2011, new 2012 dog licenses will
be issued.
Dogs are licensed for calendar years. Your 2011
license expires December 31, 2011. Late fees will be assessed
starting Feb. 1, 2012. You may register on line as well by
going to www.cumberlandmaine.com and
clicking departments and selecting Town Clerk. You may also go
to Maine.gov or https://www.informe.org/doglicense/begin.shtml

CUMBERLAND FARMERS MARKET
Winter Farmers Markets are
in full swing in the Greenhouse at Allen, Sterling & Lothrop, 191
US Rt 1 in
Falmouth, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10-1. We invite you to
meet the Maine farmers and artisans who bring you milk, eggs,
cheese, poultry, lamb, beef, pork, goat, fresh greens, tomatoes,
beets, potatoes, onions, winter squashes, garlic, apple cider, soup
mixes, cranberries, soap, Afghan delicasies,
fish- and crabcakes, crusty and loaf
breads, alpaca yarns, maple syrup and candies, pulled pork (hot and
ready to eat!), handcrafted aprons, draft dodgers, hot pads and
