The Planning Department is responsible for:

Providing research and technical assistance to the Planning Board, Town Manager, Town Council, the Comprehensive Plan Committee, other town committees, department heads, and our citizens.

Providing comprehensive review of development proposals requiring Planning Board approval including subdivisions, site plans, and certain uses within the Shoreland Zone.
