Prince Memorial Library is a passport acceptance facility.

Call to set up an appointment:  829-2215
Standard processing time is 4 – 6 weeks. Applications may be expedited (processing time  2 – 3 weeks, door-to-door) for an additional $60 fee and overnight postage fees. These times are subject to change, always check with Passport Services for current processing times.  If international departure is in less than two weeks, application at the Regional Passport Agency in Boston, MA or Portsmouth NH would be necessary. Special conditions would apply.
When you have made an appointment, please bring:
  • Completed, unsigned application
  • Certified long-form birth certificate or previous U. S. Passport
  • Identification — Picture ID (current driver’s license for example)
  • Two passport photos
  • Two personal checks for payment

Fees: check online for current fee rates

Check or money order payable to U.S. Department of State  (Cash cannot be accepted)
AND cash, check, or money order payable to Prince Memorial Library
Please note: If the passport is for a child, that child must be present. For minor children under 14, both parents must be present or the absent parent must submit a notarized permission form. One parent must accompany minors 15-17. Please refer to Passport Services for more information on the requirements for minor applicants.
