About the Cumberland Fire Department
Cumberland Fire Department proudly protects 7200 people living in an area of 25 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department with career, part time and paid on call (volunteer) members, providing fire, specialized rescue and ambulance services to the community.
Cumberland Fire Department has represented Cumberland's "Bravest" since 1915. Cumberland is a small suburb of Portland in Southern Maine. Every year the Cumberland Fire Department responds to several hundred emergency calls, and gives thousands of hours to the community through fire training and public service.
The Cumberland Fire Department is always accepting applications for call company personnel. If you are interested in applying, please call 207.829.5421, or email nschools@cumberlandmaine.com for more information.
Applications that are not accepted for employment will not be retained by the town for later consideration
