Rescue Department Community Training Courses

The American Heart Association has chosen the Cumberland Rescue Department as a Community Training Center. The Community Training Center is an organization, which provides basic and advanced life support training courses to the community for the purpose of helping reduce disability and death form cardiovascular disease and stroke. These courses work to improve the Chain of Survival in the community through education and training.

Classes offered at a nominal fee are:

Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO)

        Child CPR and FBAO
        Infant CPR and FBAO
        Pediatric Safety Course

Speakers are available to talk about Risk Factors and the Chain of Survival upon request.

These classes are ideal for ChildCare Workers, Day Care Facilities, Schools, New Parents and families at risk for Cardiovascular Disease.

CHILD SEAT FIT TESTING STATION


Is your child's car seat properly installed? With so many brands to choose from and so many makes of cars, installing a car seat can be a real challenge. The Cumberland Rescue's Car Seat Fitting Station is the place to go for help. Our technician has been trained and certified by the National Highway and Traffic Administration to help parents and caregivers properly install and use child safety seats. We can also provide up-to-date recall listings as well as safety information for both, on the road and in the home.
